A Look at Historical and Modern Day Antioch, California

As a person who has lived in Antioch, California, for approximately 13 years, this place I have been calling home has never truly felt important to me. I have never made any real connections to this space until starting this project. Getting the opportunity to learn about Antioch's historical side by visiting old and present landmarks has been a fun educational trip for me. Documenting the before and after of many buildings and locations made me realize how things remained the same from the time of their creation to the present day. With this work, I hope the viewer will experience this journey around Antioch, California, and view the drastic changes or similarities in GIF form of the city I can now call home.
